CSM Jubilee Showcase Series at the Town Hall

Join us as we celebrate CSM’s 70th birthday with a series of three very special concerts

At 12.00 there will be a lunch-time concert titled Music Across the Generations which will feature CSM’s many smaller ensembles –  the rock bands, the percussion ensemble, the Children’s choir, the wind ensembles, a combined recorder ensemble and ensembles from our outreach string and band programmes. This concert is koha entry (suggest $10) – do come along and support our musicians who represent the wide range of opportunities available to our students

At 2.30 we feature three of our symphony orchestras -Junior Symphony Orchestra, Intermediate Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia for our CSM Orchestra Showcase. The orchestras will be joined by our delightful Suzuki Strings and our adult string ensemble Stringendo –  showcasing the opportunities from the very young to the young at heart. This concert is also koha entry (suggested $10) and will be a wonderful concert sharing CSM’s long standing orchestral tradition

At 7.00 the CSM Jubilee Gala Concert will feature the Christchurch Youth Orchestra, the Christchurch Concert Band and a CSM Alumni Orchestra which is bringing together players from several decades who had their start at the CSM. There will also be some mini surprises to showcase the wide range of opportunities at CSM!
